On Sunday, April 3, 2022, the Odyssey hosted student musicians from the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra performing side-by-side with professional musicians from the Annapolis Symphony and led by Dr. Chris Cicconi. Make no mistake – this wasn’t your grade school recital!
The program included great classics such as Bizet’s Farandole, Grieg’s March of the Dwarfs, and Shostakovich’s Waltz No. 2. These talented students provided us with an outstanding performance, watched by an in-person audience as well as a livestream audience.
It is an important part of the HCCO’s mission to encourage music students within our region by featuring events such as this concert and we hope to make this Student Musician Concert an annual tradition.
