The Howard County Concert Odyssey is pleased to announce that Lissa Bounds Hammond and Dr. Barbara E. Prettyman have agreed to join the Odyssey’s Board of Directors.
Lissa Bounds Hammond is the founder of Ellicott Interiors, LLC, a full-service interior design company that focuses on residential kitchen and bath design and remodeling. Hammond received her bachelor’s degree from the School of Justice at American University and studied fine art and interior design at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. With a background in drama, dance, and music, Hammond joined St. John’s Episcopal Church’s All Saints Hall worship band as a vocalist in 2010 and participates in the Adult Choir in St. John’s Historic Church. Hammond is married and lives in Ellicott City.
Barbara E. Prettyman, Ph.D., retired from the National Security Agency where she served as Division Chief of the National Cryptologic School. Her career included systems engineering and integration work at Allied Signal and work as an editor at BeardBooks, a publisher of law and business books. Dr. Prettyman attended Wellesley College, the University of Strasbourg and the University of Provence in France, and the University of Göttingen in Germany. She also served as an Instructor and Professor of Comparative Literature and French at the University of Maryland, where she attained her doctorate. Dr. Prettyman lives in Ellicott City.
