FAQs
We don’t have a dress code, so please wear whatever makes you comfortable.
In general, plan to arrive about 30 minutes before the performance is scheduled to begin.
Ticketholders who arrive after the performance begins will be seated during appropriate pauses in the music. Please see an usher for guidance.
Our events are open-seating, so please choose your seat when you arrive. If the performance is sold out, we do request that you not leave single seats open if possible.
With contemporary music, you may applaud at the end of each song. However, classical musical works have multiple movements or sections. While a short pause often follows each movement, it is customary to refrain from applauding during these pauses. After the final movement of a work, the conductor will turn around, a sure sign that it’s time to applaud. If all else fails, you can always wait for the rest of the audience to begin clapping.
The restrooms at St. John’s Episcopal Church are located off the vestibule, where you enter the building.
Most performances run about 90 minutes and do not include an intermission.
Sorry, the use of cameras or audio recording equipment is strictly prohibited.
Please turn off the sound on your cellular phones, beepers and watch alarms prior to the performance. If you must take an emergency call, please step out into the vestibule so you do not disturb the rest of the audience or the performers.
Children of all ages are welcome at HCCO events and tickets are free for children under 18 years old. If your child acts up during the performance, we encourage you to take him or her into the vestibule so that others may continue to enjoy the performance.
